Welcome to our Kindergarten!
One of our newest projects in Restore is the new kindergarten in Seleus.
We are so happy that we have the possibility to invite around 8 kids aged 3-6 years old every Tuesday and Wednesday to our center.

Although Seleus village has its own "gradinita" for 3-6 year olds, and by law every child should attend from age 5, we know of a few Roma children for whom this just won’t happen.
That's why Chris, one of the women in the Restore team, has started up this ministry. We want to give these children a place to play and have fun, but also where they can learn some basic skills that will help them when they take on the task of starting school. Chris says: "When the children come, it’s great to see them enjoy playing; discovering playdough,
jigsaw puzzles, and building with blocks or dulpo– all new experiences for them. We sit at the table for a snack, helping them learn to serve one another, and practise saying‘Multumesc’ (thank you) when they receive their food.
Of course there’s also lots to learn about listening,
cooperating and resolving conflicts without shouting or fists(!) We have a circle time and sing together, including a song about being God’s treasures."
Another blessing with this program is that we can include a couple of the local Roma ladies in working alongside our team. This is great for relationship building, teaching them about how to treat and raise the children, and giving the women a little support to also care for their own families.
Stand with us in prayer for Chris, the women and most of all these precious children.
